Quality Block Paving Services in Great Yarmouth
Built on its own foundations, block paving can bear a lot of weight over its level surface. Also known as brick weave, it is a visually appealing surface as you can introduce patterns and designs. There are plenty of choices between sizes, colour and finish of the blocks, all of which can help you decide when we conduct a free site survey.
We are an East Anglia based company where our workmanship and customer referrals and constant reinvesting in up to date plant and machinery has gained us a great reputation in the surfacing industry. We have a wide customer base in Great Yarmouth from private home owners, local building developers to customers in the agriculture industry.

At Driveline Surfacing Ltd, we like to keep things as easy to follow as possible for both our contractors and our customers. This transparency translates into an easy-to-follow process for you, so there are no nasty surprises along the way.
Our 7-stage process begins with the free site survey. This planning stage is where we will take all the measurements, complete risk assessments and mark out the area while evaluating the drainage options. At this stage, you will be able to consider the block sizes and colours to achieve the final look you’d like to see.
We then scan the area for any important gas, water, electric wires and utilities that we don’t want to affect or damage in any way, and begin excavating to the correct depths. All digging is completed by ourselves, followed by laying a porous membrane to prevent our Type 1 sub-base from mixing with the ground underneath.
The next stage is to lay our sub base at a minimum 100mm / 4 inches depth, aligning with current laying guidelines. We will always compact this to remove the risk of sinkage.
Kerbs & edging can sometimes be necessary to act as a retainer or can be used as decor. We lay our edging on a solid concrete base, making sure there’s no potential brick movement.
If you have any drainage & manholes on your current driveway, these would be replaced with recess manholes to not affect the look and feel of your finished driveway, while also allowing you to keep access to your drains if necessary.
Your final base will be screened and then your blocks will be laid in your ideal and chosen pattern – and this will be followed by the final finishing stage to prevent any additional movement over the years.
